Admiraal Harriman Nelson heeft een nieuwe onderzeeër ontwikkeld. Als de Van-Allengordel, die om de aarde ligt, in brand vliegt, stijgt de temperatuur op aarde enorm. Ondanks de grote hitte, een muitende bemanning en vijandelijke onderzeeërs onderneemt Nelson een lange reis om vanaf een berekend punt in de Stille Oceaan raketten af te gaan vuren naar de Van-Allengordel en te voorkomen dat de aarde smelt.
Nee, helaas is Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
