Maggie Foley (Ellen Barkin) is een journaliste die de overgebleven leden van een band interviewt, omdat hun muziek weer populair is. Herinneringen van de lead-zanger Eddie Wilson (Michael Pare) komen weer naar boven als Frank Ridgeway (Tom Berenger) een reünie organiseert. Alles gaat goed totdat iemand nog nooit eerder uitgebrachte tapes aan het licht brengt, en dat die iemand wel eens Eddie zou kunnen zijn.
Nee, helaas is Eddie and the Cruisers nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
