In Venice Beach komt naïeveling JB samen met KG en ze vormen de rockband Tenacious D. Omdat ze de beste rockband aller tijden willen worden en dat niet zo gemakkelijk gaat, stelen ze wat ze denken dat hen kan helpen in hun tocht naar het sterrendom: een magisch plectrum van een rock-and-roll museum 300 mijlen verder.
Nee, helaas is Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
