Jack Mosley is een uitgebluste rechercheur die niet bekend staat om zijn fijnzinnige methodes. Zijn opdracht is het begeleiden van een belangrijke getuige van het politiebureau naar de rechtbank. De afstand waarover dit moet plaatsvinden is 16 straatblokken. Onderweg komt Mosley er achter dat deze man zal getuigen tegen zijn corrupte collega's en dat het volledige New Yorkse politiekorps er alles aan zal doen om hem uit de weg te ruimen.
Nee, helaas is 16 Blocks nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
