Geflopte filmmaker Able veroorzaakt in een bezopen bui een auto-ongeluk waarbij de stripper Gigi verongelukt. In plaats van haar te begraven komt Able op het idee om de effecten in zijn volgende film realistischer te maken. Met doorslaand succes gebruikt hij Gigi's ledematen voor de opnames. Dat smaakt naar meer, en Able kent genoeg vervelende filmcritici en financiers die in aanmerking komen om hun 'bodyparts' te doneren. Eén voor één vermoordt en verminkt hij zijn tegenstanders en gebruikt hun lichamen voor zijn super realistische horrorfilm. Ondertussen gaat Gigi's zus April op zoek naar haar verdwenen zusje. Ze komt Able op het spoor, maar die is ondertussen zo doorgedraaid dat hij niet meer te stuiten is in zijn bloeddorstige plannen.
Nee, helaas is Smash Cut nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
