De Amerikaanse ingenieur Michael Grant (Robert Walker Jr.) is in Londen om mee te helpen aan het ontmantelen van de London Bridge voor transport naar Arizona. Hij ontmoet de jonge, Britse Olivia (Suzanna Love) en ze worden verliefd. Echter, Olivia is getrouwd en haar man Richard (Jeff Winchester) betrapt de twee onder de London Bridge. Na een kort maar hevig gevecht valt Richard van de brug het water in en vlucht Olivia. Enige jaren later is Michael in Arizona op de nieuwe locatie van de London Bridge. Daar ziet hij Olivia weer, maar nu heet ze Jenny, is ze een lokale vastgoedhandelaar zonder Brits accent en herkent ze Michael niet...
