Connie Sumner heeft een liefhebbende echtgenoot en een zoon van wie ze veel houdt. Toch wil ze meer. Wanneer ze op een dag een knappe vreemdeling tegen het lijf loopt terwijl ze een taxi probeert te halen raakt zij geobsedeerd door hem. Uiteindelijk krijgt ze wat met hem. Ze ondervindt echter al snel de negatieve kanten van deze egoïstische actie.
