David Skylark presenteert Skylark Tonight, een succesvol praatprogramma laat op de avond bedacht door zijn beste vriend Aaron, die tevens de producent is. Aaron weet voor David een interview te regelen met de wrede Noord-Koreaanse dictator Kim Jong-un, maar voordat zij naar Noord-Korea vertrekken, worden ze benaderd door de CIA met het plan de dictator om het leven te brengen. David en Aaron nemen de opdracht aan, maar ze zijn eigenlijk ongeschikt om de liquidatie uit te voeren.
