Twee totaal verschillende tieners worden verliefd op elkaar in de middelbare school. Kort daarna worden ze echter gescheiden en kiezen ze elk een radicaal verschillend pad. 21 jaar later, op een begrafenis, ontmoeten ze elkaar weer in hun vroegere woonplaats en komen oude, pijnlijke herinneringen weer boven drijven.
