Paul Garcia is een monteur, eigenaar van een kleine garage, voormalig huurmoordenaar, weduwnaar en vader van zijn inmiddels volwassen dochter Beth. Zij studeert aan de andere kant van het land. Op een dag vermoedt Paul dat ze ontvoerd is en in plaats van de politie in te schakelen besluit hij zelf op onderzoek uit te gaan. Het blijkt dat hij zijn criminele verleden nog niet helemaal van zich heeft afgeschud.
