Nick en Jonah zijn eerstejaars studenten die een grote passie delen: hacken. Terwijl ze door Nevada rijden met Nick's vriendin Hailey, volgen ze de aanwijzingen van een rivaliserende hacker genaamd Nomad, naar een locatie 300 kilometer verderop. Na een angstaanjagende confrontatie met Nomad, midden in de woestijn, komen ze weer bij bewustzijn in gevangenschap.
