De 13-jarige Jacob is geobsedeerd door motorcross en heavy metal. Wanneer hij meer en meer crimineel gedrag begint te vertonen is de kinderbescherming genoodzaakt om zijn kleine broertje Wes bij zijn tante onder te brengen. Om Wes weer terug thuis te krijgen zullen Jacob en zijn emotioneel afwezige vader Hollis eindelijk eens verantwoordelijkheid moeten nemen.
