Roy is een vader, die wanhopig probeert om zijn achtjarige zoon Alton te beschermen, die beschikt over speciale gaven. Samen met een paar vrienden probeert hij Alton naar een geheime locatie te brengen, terwijl ze ondertussen achterna worden gezeten door zowel een extreem religieuze sekte, als een speciale eenheid van de regering.
