Het is het midden van de jaren '80. Radical Miracle (Marcello Conte) is een verlegen tiener die in Maryland woont en twee interesses heeft: rapmuziek en tafeltennis. Wanneer Radical voor de vakantie naar het kustplaatsje Ocean City gaat begint de meest epische zomer uit zijn leven. Naast het feit dat hij verliefd wordt realiseert hij ook zijn grote droom om tafeltenniskampioen te worden.
