Roger heeft geen moeder meer en ziet zijn vader zelden. Net als zijn vriend J.P. is hij een grote fan van het honkbalteam Los Angeles Dodgers. De twee grootste wensen van Roger zijn dan ook dat hij bij een echte familie woont en dat de Dodgers het kampioenschap winnen. Plotseling verschijnen er een paar engelen om hem te helpen deze wensen in vervulling te laten gaan.
