Bij een experiment worden op een klein eilandje een aantal genetisch gemanipuleerde eieren van komodovaranen geplaatst. De dieren blijken echter goed in staat te overleven en vallen een gezin aan dat op het eiland woont, waarvan alleen de zoon Patrick overleeft. Om van het daarbij opgelopen trauma af te komen, keert hij jaren later terug naar zijn geboorteplaats, waar hij al spoedig zelf aangevallen wordt door komodovaranen.
Nee, helaas is Komodo nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
