AJ Manglehorn is een wat oudere, gewone man die in een klein dorpje woont. Hij verzorgt zijn zieke kat, maakt elke vrijdag een praatje met de lokale bankbediende en eet elke dag in hetzelfde restaurant. Maar er is meer aan de hand met Manglehorn: hij is een ex-misdadiger die, 40 jaar geleden, de vrouw van zijn dromen opgaf voor die ene grote "klus". Nu denkt hij dagelijks obsessief na over de keuzes die hij gemaakt heeft.
Nee, helaas is Manglehorn nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
