Olivia is jong, aantrekkelijk, intelligent en onweerstaanbaar charmant. Ze is tevens verantwoordelijk voor het oprichten van gratis klinieken voor noodlijdende vrouwen in het hele land. De miljonair Danny Keegan is wild van Olivia en vraagt haar dan ook ten huwelijk. Melanie Dempse, een oude studiegenoot van Danny, is niet overtuigd van Olivia's goedheid. Zij werkt als fotograaf voor de L.A. Tribune en besluit met de hulp van haar assistent Finn het verleden van Olivia te onderzoeken.
