In een poging om te profiteren van exotische vissen, besluiten ingenieuze wetenschappers de grote witte haaiensoort te kruisen met piranha's. De creatie is succesvol en de dieren beginnen aquaria in de Amerikaanse middenklasse te bewonen. Alles gaat goed totdat de wezens het rioolsysteem van New York City beginnen te infiltreren en een reële bedreiging voor levende wezens worden en hen vraatzuchtig aanvallen.
Nee, helaas is Piranha Sharks nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
