De Amerikaanse regering, die graag de avocado voorraden van het land wil beschermen, rekruteert feministische professor Margo Hunt om contact te leggen met de Piranha Women, een volledig vrouwelijke stam die gelooft dat mannen alleen goed zijn als voedselbron. Dr. Hunt wordt op haar reis vergezeld door Jim, een gids met twijfelachtige bekwaamheid, en Bunny, een student met onbetwistbare incompetentie.
