Brewster leeft in de catacomben van een grote sportarena en heeft zijn leven gewijd aan het ontwerpen van een vliegapparaat waarmee hij op eigen kracht de lucht in kan komen. Louise, een beschermengel zonder vleugels, steunt hem en schrikt daarbij niet terug voor moord.
