De briljante wetenschapper Norman Spencer maakt zich zorgen over zijn echtgenote Claire. Sinds hun enige dochter Caitlin op kamers is gegaan, hoort Claire stemmen en ziet ze voortdurend een gezicht van een jonge vrouw gereflecteerd in het water.
