Nick Irons is tenniscoach maar werd geschorst wegens het slaan van een speler tijdens een wedstrijd op de TV. Hij gaat ermee akkoord de jonge Joel te trainen die zich voorgenomen heeft profspeler te worden. Joels vader wil dit echter niet en heeft Nick in dienst genomen om zijn zoon te ontmoedigen.
