David komt aan in een stad die wordt gecontroleerd door de corrupte zakenman Wilson Fisk, alias The Kingpin. In een metro is David getuige van een poging tot verkrachting en hij wordt de Hulk. Hij werd weer normaal, hij werd in de gevangenis gezet en beschuldigd van de poging tot verkrachting. Hij zal worden bijgestaan door advocaat Matt Murdock, ook bekend als Daredevil. Tijdens het proces transformeert David en ontsnapt; hij wordt gevolgd door Matt, die onthult dat hij Daredevil is en hem vraagt hem te helpen Wilson Fisk in het nauw te drijven.
