Voormalig soldaat Ryan Reeve wordt wakker in de achterbak van een bus zonder enig idee hoe hij daar is gekomen. Ryan wordt beschuldigd van het ontvoeren van een kind maar terwijl hij de puzzelstukjes in elkaar probeert te passen verliest hij negen minuten en zevenenveertig seconden later opnieuw het bewustzijn. Onder onmogelijke omstandigheden heeft hij geen andere keus dan op zoek te gaan naar de reden van zijn geheugenverlies.
