Frank Zito is een alleenwonende man van gemiddelde leeftijd. Hij woont in New York City en werkt als conciërge in een klein appartementencomplex. Wat niemand weet is dat Frank een schizofrene seriemoordenaar is, die iedere nacht vrouwen stalkt en ze vermoord. Hij scalpeert de hoofdhuid van hun hoofd af, en zet het thuis op poppen. Ook neemt hij hun kleding mee ter decoratie.
