Toen Billy een kind was werden zijn ouders rond Kerstmis vermoord door iemand verkleed als de Kerstman. Deze traumatische ervaring leidde hem naar een jeugdinstelling, maar ook daar kon hij deze gebeurtenis niet van zijn netvlies af krijgen.
