Drie showgirls - twee travestieten en één transseksueel- uit Sydney zijn het leven in de grote stad beu. Het drietal besluit een uitnodiging aan te nemen voor een optreden in Alice Springs, midden in de woestijn. In hun oude bus, Priscilla gedoopt, beginnen zij aan een reis vol komische, bizarre en gevaarlijke avonturen.
