Het is 1966 en in het plaatsje Shade Gap wordt tiener Peggy Ann op mysterieuze wijze ontvoerd door een doorgedraaide woudbewoner. De man neemt haar mee het bos in en een groots opgezette zoektocht naar Peggy Ann en haar ontvoerder komt op gang. Het meisje voelt na verloop van tijd toch enige sympathie voor de man die haar heeft meegenomen, omdat hij niemand heeft om van te houden.
Nee, helaas is Cry in the Wild: The Taking of Peggy Ann nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
