Debbie en Howard vieren hun huwelijksfeest. Dat is tenminste de bedoeling, want een vreemdeling die slechts even een telefoontje vanuit hun huis wil plegen, gooit roet in het eten. In eerste instantie is hij een charmante man die vooral Debbie weet in te palmen. Hij blijkt echter een ontsnapte gevangene te zijn, die haar wil gijzelen om naar het buitenland te kunnen vluchten.
