Een ruimteschip met 40 man aan boord stort neer op een verlaten planeet. De overlevenden zitten vast op dit planeet, die maar liefst 3 zonnen heeft. Zij moeten samenwerken met de ontsnapte gevangene Riddick willen zij overleven. Terwijl zij op zoek gaan naar een schuilplaats en voedsel, ontdekken zij dat de nacht vleesetende monsters aantrekt!
