Preston Tucker was als kind al gefascineerd door auto's en nam zich voor er alles over te leren, zodat hij ze later zelf zou kunnen bouwen. Hij reisde als jongeling inderdaad naar Detroit, het hart van de automobielindustrie, leerde er het vak, ontmoette er Vera, stichtte met haar een gezin en ontwierp er zijn eerste automodel. Als extravagant en extrovert man werd Tucker niet door iedereen gewaardeerd.
Nee, helaas is Tucker: The Man and His Dream nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
