Dot, het dochtertje van Australische outbackers, raakt de weg kwijt is het bos. Doodsbang voor de vreemde geluiden en donkere schaduwen, raakt ze al snel bevriend met een kangoeroe. Dot reist met de kangoeroe mee in haar buidel. Op zoek naar haar weg terug naar huis beleeft ze veel avonturen en ontmoet ze veel andere dieren, welke niet allemaal even vriendelijk zijn.
Nee, helaas is Dot and the Kangaroo nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
