Gebaseerd op de grote en tragisch geëindigde boerenopstand van de Serven in Hongarije in 1514. Paus Leo X roept in dit jaar op tot een kruistocht tegen de Turken. Een Hongaarse kardinaal wordt de organisatie opgedragen. In plaats van een kruistocht tegen de Turken werd de tocht een klassenoorlog tegen de adel.
