David's leven bevindt zich op een hellend vlak. Hij ligt in scheiding, heeft geen cent te makken en is impotent. Zijn vriendin Alice is zijn rots in de branding, maar ook zij heeft problemen. Haar baan als schrijfster bij een magazine staat op de tocht. Wanneer David op een site voor 'swingers' stuit, ziet Alice hierin een nieuw verhaal.
