Whitley Strieber gaat met zijn familie en vrienden naar zijn vakantiehuisje in het bos. Daar zien ze rare verschijnselen die aan buitenaards leven doen denken. Whitley wordt ontvoerd door een UFO en begint zich af te vragen of hij dit werkelijk heeft meegemaakt. Hij klopt aan bij een psychiater die onder hypnose de waarheid uit hem probeert te krijgen.
