Jimmie Rainwood wordt tijdens een inval van twee corrupte agenten neergeschoten en beschuldigd van drugs dealen. Hij wordt uiteindelijk veroordeeld, gebaseerd op feiten van een informant. In de cel beweert hij onschuldig te zijn en probeert het te bewijzen, maar al snel ontdekt hij dat hij er waarschijnlijk mee zal moeten leven.
