American Pop is het verhaal van een getalenteerde en uiterst muzikale familie, die er echter niet in lijken te slagen om een normaal gezinsleven te leiden. Hun problemen lijken ze echter ook door te geven aan de volgende generaties en hun nakomelingen hebben het eveneens moeilijk in het leven. Gelukkig hebben alle gezinsleden houvast aan de muziek, die varieert van prille jazz en rock-'n-roll tot en met New Wave.
Nee, helaas is American Pop nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
