Derek Blackwell is helemaal idolaat van de tv-presentatrice Jamie Douglas. Het gaat zelfs zover dat hij haar bespiedt vanuit zijn naburig gelegen huis, foto's neemt, en haar continu telefonisch lastigvalt. Jamie wordt helemaal gek van haar aanbidder, maar hoe meer ze hem afwijst, des te opdringeriger hij wordt. Zijn obsessie slaat om in fantasie en Derek besluit Jamie te dwingen om een relatie met hem aan te gaan.
