Mike Enslin is een niet al te succesvolle schrijver van boeken over bovennatuurlijke fenomenen. Als research voor zijn nieuwe boek gaat hij op zoek naar de beruchte kamer 1408 in een New Yorks hotel. Vastbesloten te bewijzen dat de verhalen rondom de kamer een mythe zijn, schrijft hij zich in als gast, ondanks waarschuwingen van Mr. Olin, de hotel-eigenaar.
Nee, helaas is 1408 nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
