Dr. John Dolittle heeft een goed leven: een leuk gezin en een goeie baan als dokter. Op een nacht rijdt hij een hond aan die hem uitscheldt. Vanaf dat moment heeft hij het vermogen om met dieren te kunnen praten. Als de hond dit doorvertelt komen veel dieren naar hem toe voor medisch advies. Zijn collega's denken dat John gek is en al snel gaat er veel mis met zijn baan en gezin, totdat er een tijger verschijnt.
Nee, helaas is Doctor Dolittle nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
