Xavier Quinn is politiecommissaris op een eilandje in de Caraïben, een klein paradijsje waar toeristen genieten van de zon. Plots wordt de rust verstoord door de brutale moord op Donald Pater, een rijke zakenman. De hoofdverdachte is een vriend van Quinn, de onverbeterlijke Maubee. De man slaagt erin voortdurend aan Quinn te ontsnappen. In de ogen van de eilandbewoners is Maubee trouwens een held: een gekke, luie rebel, door de vrouwen op handen gedragen, door de mannen benijd.
Nee, helaas is The Mighty Quinn nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
