Sinds ze haar vader, een rockzanger, tijdens een concert geëlektrocuteerd zag worden, is de 8-jarige Amy mentaal doofstom. Ondanks alle inspanningen van haar moeder lijkt Amy nauwelijks van haar trauma te herstellen. Totdat Amy, met de hulp van haar buurman, de kracht van haar eigen zangstem ontdekt.
