In het weeshuis St. Vincent worden jongens misbruikt en mishandeld door hun voogden. Hun benarde situatie komt pas aan het licht als de conciërge en een lokale politieagent zich uitspreken tegen de walgelijke manier waarop de broeders de wezen behandelen.
