Tijdens een zakenreis in Japan ontmoet Paul Racine in de bar van zijn hotel de knappe Kirina. Ze maken kennis, gaan nog iets drinken op haar kamer en beleven samen een passionele nacht. Wanneer Paul naar zijn kamer gaat, neemt hij de verkeerde sleutel mee. Hij keert terug naar Kirina's kamer en staat oog in oog met drie ninja's die Kirina koelbloedig onthoofden omdat ze haar beschermheer, de alom gevreesde Kinjo, heeft verraden. Paul wordt ook aangevallen, maar kan op het nippertje ontsnappen. Zijn leven is echter in gevaar, maar hij zweert haar dood te zullen wreken.
