Op de avond voor Halloween maakt Ernest P. Worrell per ongeluk de gruwelijke trol Trantor wakker. Deze trol gaat op jacht naar kinderen en verandert ze in kleine houten poppen. Het is nu aan de vriendelijke schlemiel Ernest en zijn kleine hondje Rimshot om de trol tegen te houden.
Nee, helaas is Ernest Scared Stupid nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
