Sir Alfred De Carter, een beroemde Engelse dirigent in Amerika, is gek op zijn vrouw Daphne maar hij wantrouwt haar. Terwijl hij dirigeert komt hij op drie verschillende ideeën om met deze zaak af te rekenen. Maar alles gaat niet zoals het gepland wordt.
