Chili, 1978: In de hoofdstad Santiago is vijftiger Raúl Peralta een obsessief imitator van Tony Manero, de door John Travolta gespeelde hoofdfiguur uit Saturday Night Fever. Hij leidt een groep dansers waarmee hij regelmatig optreedt en elke zaterdag een imitatie van zijn idool laat zien. Op zekere dag kondigt de Chileense tv een wedstrijd voor Manero-lookalikes aan. Voor Raúl de kans van zijn leven. Hij heeft er alles voor over om te winnen, zelfs al moet hij er misdaden voor plegen.
Nee, helaas is Tony Manero nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
