Martin Fallon is een IRA-activist die een grote fout maakt als hij bij een aanslag per ongeluk een schoolbus opblaast. Hij verlaat de IRA en vertrekt naar Londen. Om uit handen van de IRA te blijven biedt een plaatselijke gangster aan om Martin te helpen. Hij moet daarvoor wel een rivaliserende gangsterbaas vermoorden. Tijdens deze aanslag wordt Martin gezien door een priester. Omdat Martin geen onschuldigen wil doden moet hij een manier vinden om uit de handen van de politie te blijven, zonder de priester te doden.
