1942, de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Grote hoeveelheden munitie en talloze mensenlevens gaan verloren omdat de geallieerden er maar niet in slagen om de Duitse boodschappen te ontcijferen. Omdat dit op termijn wel eens de overwinning van de Duitsers zou kunnen betekenen, wordt een grootscheepse infiltratie-operatie opgezet.
